Jonathan Alexander

Jonathan Alexander is Professor of English, Education, and Gender & Sexuality Studies at the University of California, Irvine. The author or editor of 11 books, he focuses on intersections amongst literacy, pedagogy, and sexuality. He is the general editor of College Composition and Communication.

 

 
Genny Beemyn

Genny Beemyn, Ph.D., is the director of the Stonewall Center at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and the Trans Policy Clearinghouse coordinator for Campus Pride.  Their many books include The Lives of Transgender People (2011) and A Queer Capital: A History of Gay Life in Washington, D.C. (2014).

 

 
Amber Billey

Amber Billey received her MLIS from Pratt Institute in 2009 with certificates in Archives and Museum Librarianship. At Pratt, she focused on metadata standards, cataloging, and digital libraries for cultural heritage institutions. She is currently the Metadata Librarian at Columbia University Libraries. Prior to Columbia, Billey worked as the Cataloging/Metadata Librarian at the University of Vermont Libraries. From 2009-2011, she was the metadata specialist for CollectiveAccess open-source collection management software for museums, archives, and historical societies.

 

 
Dallas Denny

Dallas Denny is a writer, editor, speaker, and community builder with a longstanding interest in trans history. In 1994, while Director of the nonprofit American Educational Gender Information Service, she formed the National Transgender Library & Archive, which now resides in the Labadie Collection at the University of Michigan. Aaron Devor

Dr. Aaron H Devor, has been studying and teaching about transgender for over thirty years. One of the authors of versions 6 and 7 of the Standards of Care, and chair of the WPATH Archives Committee, he is widely published and has delivered lectures and keynote addresses to audiences around the world. A trans man, he is the Founder and Academic Director of the world’s largest Transgender Archives at the University of Victoria, Canada.

 

 
Andrea Jenkins

Andrea Jenkins is the Transgender Oral Historian for the Tretter Collection at the University of Minnesota. She has earned Master level degrees in Community Economic Development and Fine Arts, focusing on Creative writing. Andrea is the Intermedia Arts Board Chair, a Bush Fellow, a writer and performance artist.

 

 
Nicholas Matte

Nicholas Matte is an interdisciplinary historian who specializes in trans history and archives and has been actively involved in making trans archival materials more accessible. Matte has worked with many community groups and his research has appeared in GLQ; International Journal of Transgenderism; Canadian Bulletin of Medical History; Transgender Studies Reader and Trans Activism in Canada. He teaches in the Sexual Diversity Studies Program at the University of Toronto, where he also curates the Sexual Representation Collection.

 

 
Susan Stryker

Susan Stryker is Associate Professor of Gender and Women's Studies, and Director of the Institute for LGBT Studies at the University of Arizona. Susan earned her Ph.D. in United States History at UC Berkeley in 1992, subsequently held a post-doctoral fellowship in Sexuality Studies at Stanford University, and has been a distinguished visiting faculty member at Harvard University, Simon Fraser University, Macquarie University, and University of California-Santa Cruz. Among other work, she co-edited both volumes of Transgender Studies Reader, and is founding co-editor of TSQ: Transgender Studies Quarterly.

 

 
Niki Trauthwein

Niki Trauthwein is the founder & chairwoman of the Lili Elbe Archive - Institute for Inter, Trans and Queer History in Berlin, specializing in biographical research and transgender studies. She lectures about the various historical aspects, issues and challenges of transgender and transsexual experience

 

 
Cristan Williams

Cristan Williams is a trans historian and activist. She is the editor of the TransAdvocate.com, founder of the Houston Transgender Archives, serves on the national steering body for the Urban Coalition for HIV/AIDS Prevention Services and, and is the Executive Director of the Transgender Foundation of America.
