Donor at Testimony of Spirit Award 1999 City Hall San Francisco “For the past twelve years, (donor) has been a tireless advocate for the transgendered and HIV/AIDS communities. She has hosted garage sales, bake sales and drag show. She has walked in every AIDS Walk since 1987, marched in every Pride Parade and raised fund through special events like the AIDS Dance-a-Thon and Noche de Salsa. She has created an astounding sixty AIDS Memorial Quilt panels. (Donor) is not a wealthy person, so instead of money, she donates her time and energy but she won’t give up. Her hope is to inspire other to continue to fight against AIDS as long as the epidemic rages in our community.”
