Bob Davis in BANJO postcard

A postcard advertising the 1995 Climate Theatre run of Ms. Bob Davis' one-person show BANJO, a comedic celebration of the instrument. Davis is a San Francisco Bay Area composer, musician, and archivist. Although the a postcard doesn't overtly present gender as a theme of the show, Davis was established on the 1990s San Francisco LGBTQ scene as a transfeminine crossdresser and a close associate of Doris Fish's drag troupe, Sluts-A-Go-Go. This item comes from the Jordy Jones Papers at the GLBT Historical Society.
