Marlow Monique Dickson Oral History

OUTWORDS guest interviewer Zackary Drucker interviewed Marlow Monique Dickson in Chicago in 2021. In the 1960s, Marlow moved from Chicago to New York, performing in bars around Greenwich Village. She was hired by Jewel Box Revue, a female impersonator company. She landed a modeling gig with Female Mimics, a trans tabloid spotlighting female impersonators. In 1967, Marlow was featured in the film The Queen, documenting a drag ball beauty pageant. In 1968, Marlow moved to West Berlin and was hired at a cabaret bar called Chez Nous. Marlow left Berlin after 25 years, and now lives back in Chicago with her husband.
