"Nun" showing support for Babs at Academy Awards

A member of the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence protests that Barbra Streisand's film "Yentl" was not nominated for major categories for the 56th Academy Awards. The "nun" is holding a collection can which reads, "Eddie Murphy Disease Fund." Streisand wrote, produced, directed and starred in the film, and her fans, who viewed the film as a major accomplishment, protested the Academy's minimal acknowledgment of it. The Awards ceremonies were held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on April 9, 1984.
