'Gaby', one of many imitators of the French revue star Gaby Deslys, engrossed in reading Jules Vernes' Twenty thousand leagues under the sea, comfortably seated in a deck chair in the garden in full drag consisting of a very chic belted and high-waisted suit, shoes with 'lavatory' heels, and a great deal of make-up. The combination of the Gosport imprint and the Jules Verne title suggest he was in the navy
