Transgender communities liaison Chanel Lopez details her experience as a Latinx trans woman in both New York and the Dominican Republic. Lopez opens up to interviewer Sebastian Castro Niculescu about the lack of acceptance in her already fractured family, the intense discrimination faced throughout her life, and her general feelings of complete isolation. She does, however, explain positive instances of self- growth and love, finding solace in performance, as a notable activist, and other members of the transgender community.
