A man in drag poses with a man in swim wear, in front of a seaside backdrop. The standing man wears a striped cotton full-length bathing suit, the seated 'lady' wears what would have been (for the time) a rather risqué two-piece bathing dress with cut-out panels, and pretty ankle-tied court-shoes with flat bows at the instep. A good example of the remarkable resources apparently available to prisoners of war at Cottbus, who from their happy expressions are not having to endure much hardship
